La tradizione delle “ombrelline” denominate anche “umbrella girls” nel motorsport risale pensate al 1960, quando durante una gara automobilistica giapponese la nota cantante Rosa Ogawa venne utilizzata come testimonial pubblicitaria, e per premiare il vincitore della gara.
Negli anni ’80 molte case di F1 utilizzavano le sexy ombrelline all’interno dei box e a finire degli anni ’90 e inizi ’00 la loro presenza era diventata un must sulla griglia di partenza.
Sexy ombrelline: Purtroppo, con la tristezza di molti di noi, furono vietate dal 2015, poiché ritenute di cattivo gusto e sessiste nei confronti delle donne, non in linea inoltre con lo spirito moderno delle nuove competizioni.
Ancora oggi molti di noi non si sono ripresi da questa decisione…
